Installing WordPress via SSH in seconds
Below instant guide so that in a few seconds WordPress install the latest version available on your server without tediously transferring files via FTP using SSH whole will do literally instantly.
Go to the directory where we want to install a script in my case it:
/home/admin/domains/serwerweb.pl/public_html
1 | cd /home/admin/domains/serwerweb.pl/public_html |
Grab a pack of WordPress and unpack it
1 2 | wget http://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz tar xfz latest.tar.gz |
Move files from the directory wordpress to the public_html
1 | mv wordpress/* ./ |
Remove directory and downloaded wordpress we pack latest.tar.gz
1 2 | rmdir ./wordpress/ rm -f latest.tar.gz |
In fact, that's all 😉 in my case, due to the fact that I use the Directadmin panel, it is necessary to assign an admin group to the files.
We can make this command:
1 | chown admin.admin public_html/ -R |
