Installation of 1Password in Ubuntu and Debian
The following guide describes how to install the 1Password password manager on Ubuntu 20.04
We will do the whole thing by typing a few commands in the console.
Here we have it 2 ways.
1. We download the .deb file and install it with the gdebi package manager
Link .deb: https://downloads.1password.com/linux/debian/amd64/stable/1password-latest.deb
Or we add a repository to the system:
We install curl, if we don't have it:
1 | sudo apt install curl |
We get the gpg key:
1 | curl -sS https://downloads.1password.com/linux/keys/1password.asc | sudo gpg --dearmor --output /usr/share/keyrings/1password-archive-keyring.gpg |
add the repository:
1 | echo 'deb [arch=amd64 signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/1password-archive-keyring.gpg] https://downloads.1password.com/linux/debian/amd64 stable main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/1password.list |
The last step is installation:
1 | sudo apt update && sudo apt install 1password |
