Recently I came across a problem when compiling php 7.4 on a server with DirectAdmin panel and with a fairly already leciwym Debian 8
Today I introduce to you a very quick solution!

The entire error log looks like this:

Found /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/libzip-1.5.2.tar.gz

Configuring libzip-1.5.2 ...
cmake: /usr/local/lib/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by cmake)

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

Today I introduce to you a very simple solution!

The reaction is based on re-compiling curl command:

./build curl

If everything goes correctly re-compile PHP

./build php n

I did not notice this error on CENTOS 7
