On a server running Centos 8.

Install OpenJDK 11

dnf install java-11-openjdk-devel.x86_64

dnf install java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel

check the version:

java -version

To switch between versions of a Java execute command:

alternatives --config java

I choose the appropriate version number:
